1. About us and these terms

Local Roofer Directory (https://localroofer.directory) is operated by IT Genetics Ltd (trading as Flok Marketing), a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. What Local Roofer Directory is

We are an online directory that helps consumers find local roofing contractors. We do not carry out roofing work ourselves and we are not a party to any contract between you and a roofing business. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of services provided by businesses listed on this site.

3. Consumer use — quote requests

• Quote requests are forwarded to the relevant roofing business by email. We cannot guarantee a response.
• We do not verify the credentials, licences or insurance status of businesses listed here. Always ask the contractor for proof of public liability insurance and any relevant trade body membership before committing to any work.
• We will not share your personal details with anyone other than the roofer(s) you request a quote from. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
• Submitting a quote request creates no obligation on either side.

4. Reviews

• Reviews must be genuine, based on your own first-hand experience with the business reviewed.
• You must not post false, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or illegal content.
• You must not post reviews on behalf of a competitor or in exchange for payment.
• Reviews are held for up to 7 days before publication. If the business has a claimed listing, the owner may flag a review for our attention, but cannot unilaterally remove a genuine review.
• We reserve the right to remove reviews that breach these terms, are clearly fake, or are the subject of a successful legal challenge.
• By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on this site and in related promotional materials.

5. Business listings — free and paid

• Business data on this site may be sourced from publicly available information. If you are a business owner and believe your listing contains inaccurate data, please claim your listing or contact us.
• Claimed listings are subject to additional terms presented during the claiming process.
• Paid subscription terms (pricing, cancellation, refunds) are set out in the subscription agreement presented at checkout and are incorporated by reference into these Terms.
• We reserve the right to suspend or remove any listing that we believe is being used fraudulently or in a way that harms consumers.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by or licensed to IT Genetics Ltd (trading as Flok Marketing) and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

User-submitted content (reviews, photos) remains your property but you grant us the licence described in section 4 above.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable or impair it.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its underlying systems.
• Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the site without our prior written consent.
• Transmit any spam, unsolicited communications or malicious code.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

This site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the site's availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IT Genetics Ltd (trading as Flok Marketing) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or any services arranged through it. Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed £100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Links to third-party sites

This site contains links to external websites (e.g. businesses' own websites, Google Maps). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and linking does not imply endorsement.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Registered account holders will be notified of material changes by email where practicable.
