Roofers in Kidderminster

Kidderminster is a Worcestershire town synonymous with the carpet industry, a former weaving centre with a roofscape of Victorian industrial terraces and mill buildings roofed in Welsh natural slate and clay tile, alongside later housing. The terrace stock brings shared chimney stacks, valleys and nail sickness as century-old fixings fail, and the large former mill roofs bring their own scale of valley, gutter and flashing work.

Set inland on the River Stour in the Severn valley, Kidderminster escapes coastal salt but the riverside ground brings damp and localised flood awareness that keeps gutters and valleys under load. For owners here, relay tired slate roofs properly once the fixings have gone rather than patching, keep gutters clear given the river setting, and coordinate shared chimney and gutter work on the terraces. Across the newer housing, assess ageing concrete-tile and flat roofs for overhaul or renewal, and keep flashings sound on the older stock.
