Roofers in Telford

Telford is a Shropshire New Town, named for the great engineer and built from the 1960s across the heartland of the Industrial Revolution near Ironbridge, so its roofscape is overwhelmingly modern planned housing. Interlocking concrete tile covers its many estates on medium-to-shallow pitches, with flat-roofed and low-pitch design common and little historic stock beyond the absorbed older villages.

Set inland on the east Shropshire plateau, Telford is spared salt but takes a wet climate and open-country wind, and the uniformity of its estates means the same roof issues recur across whole neighbourhoods, with the earliest coverings now past their first life. The honest questions here are whether an ageing concrete-tile roof warrants overhaul or replacement and whether flat roofs should move to a modern warm-roof single-ply or GRP system with proper falls. Keep gutters clear, secure ridges against the wind, and detail flat roofs carefully against the rain.
